Dr. Brian Mazur, who got his PhD at the University of Toledo, is a new lecturer in the Physics and Astronomy department this semester. Dr. Mazur got into physics from his curiosity about the stars and the desire to understand what is happening in the universe. When asked, he said that his favorite topic to study is star formation. As a physicist, he says "its always essential to have a concrete example in mind when learning some physics, and stars provide just that." We are excited to have Dr. Mazur join us this semester.
