Jessica Gerac has been Dr. Roshani Silwal's research assistant this year for Dr. Silwal's NSF grant Collaborative Research: RUI: PM:High-Z Highly Charged Ions Probing Nuclear Charge Radii, QED, and the Standard Model. Jessica attended the SouthEastern Section of the American Physical Society conference held at Eastern Kentucky University where she presented a poster entitled Identification of extreme-ultraviolet transitions in highly charged Zr and Mo ions and won the award for Best Undergraduate Poster. "I feel incredibly honored to have won the best poster presentation award at SESAPS. This was my first conference, and it was an amazing experience!
